Dr. Warshawski received his Medical Degree in 1975 from the University of British Columbia, where he continued with training in anaesthesiology, internal medicine and dermatology. He interned at the University of Hawaii and completed a Fellowship in Dermatologic Surgery at the University of Miami.

Dr. Warshawski is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as well as a Member of the Canadian, American, and International Societies for Dermatologic Surgery. He is also a Clinical Professor and Head of Dermatologic Surgery for the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science, UBC. As a surgeon, he restricts his practice to skin cancer surgery and dermatologic cosmetic procedures, with a strong focus on hair transplantation. His experience in this particular field dates back to 1982.

Dr. Warshawski has published, and co-authored, in numerous dermatologic journals and is a well known and welcomed speaker.
